Christmas 1999 Running has always been a good way of keeping fit especially through the winter, and CCB riders have always had a good winter running routine. The highlight of the running season being the annual Overton Harriers Running Race at Overton. It is held each year on the last Sunday before christmas.
Berni The race is followed by a ride up to the WaterShip Down pub where the Club's Christmas Dinner is had, along with a few beers and a couple of rums. Someone usually wins a chicken etc, in the pub raffle!!
In the Watership Down Good fun is had by all. The ride home along the old Roman Road which is now a bridleway, always proves difficult, but these days is easier on a mountain bike than on your best road bike!!
