January-February
Clubruns of 60-80 miles each Sunday. During the week you should try to do an hour each day of either Running, Weights ar Turbo Training.
March-AprilRacing or Clubruns each Sunday. Racing in March is tough! During the week you should be doing a minimum of 10 hours training. Rides should be hard and you should start to concentrate on long intervals, maybe 5 five minute Time Trial efforts.
May-JuneYou should now be racing each Sunday and maybe once during the week. Training should be a minimum of 10 hours per week and you should ad 10 short sprints of 30 seconds to one of your training sessions. Remember you should be rested for your races, so organise training around races, NOT the other way around.
July-SeptemberYou should have plenty of oppourtunity to race during the week as well as on Sundays. Racing beats any training, so get out there and race. You should be up there and watching who attacks and who goes where. Your TT training should help you bridge gaps, go through in breaks and get over climbs. Concentrate now on your Sprint training to ensure you have the zip needed to attack and most importantly WIN that gallop.
